Die Pandemic Studios sind Geschichte - eine bittere Wahrheit. Und was jetzt herauskommt, lässt diese Wahrheit noch viel bitterer wirken: Ein geleaktes Video, dass eine knappe Minute epischer Action zeigt - Action, wie man sie als alter Mercenaries-Fan sofort erkennt. Da explodieren ganze Häuser und Hallen, da brennen Wälder, da wird wild aus allen Rohren geballert - nur jetzt die bange Frage: Was wird aus dem Projekt?

Eine genaue Antwort gibt es nicht - allerdings wird aus diversen Quellen berichtet, dass das Spiel jetzt bei EA Los Angeles in der Produktion ist und dort von etwa 20 bis 30 ehemaligen Pandemic-Mitarbeitern weiterentwickelt wird. Bereits bestätigt ist, dass der Trailer selber bereits mehrere Monate alt ist und noch aus der Pre-Prdoduktion stammt - Grafik-Fans können also mehr als beruhigt sein.

Ganz klar ist: Es handelt sich bei dem Titel um einen Multiplayer-Sandbox-Shooter - quasi ein Mercenaries 2 mit vielen Mitstreitern und der ganzen bekannten und geliebten Zerstörung. Ob und inwieweit das funktionieren kann, was mit der Story ist und ob das wirklich viel Spaß macht, steht noch in den explodierenden Sternen - wir hoffen aber das Beste für das Projekt...

Bereits wenige Stunden nach dem Leak des ersten Trailers wurde nun der neueste Teil der Serie mit dem Arbeitstitel "Mercenaries Incorporated" offiziell bestätigt. Entwickelt wird das Spiel von den alten Mitarbeitern der Pandemic Studios an ihrem neuen Arbeitsplatz bei EA Los Angeles. Bis jetzt sind weder Informationen zum Releasetremin noch zu den Plattformen bekannt.

The most imminent release from Pandemic Studios is the action sandbox game, The Saboteur which ships on December 8, 2009. Motivated by revenge, Sean fights, climbs, and races through open-world Paris, sneaking into the heart of the Nazi operations and sabotaging their every move.
