Das ist schon das dritte Spiel innerhalb von 2 Monaten von dem ich schreibe, dass es Hideo Kojimas wichtigste Regel bricht: Einen Release-Termin einhalten. Rockstars "Grand Theft Horse"-Spiel Red Dead Redemption ist jetzt schon ziemlich lange in Entwicklung, was beim Team hinter der GTA-Serie durchaus verschmerzbar ist. Aber jetzt wurde es erneut verschoben.

Ursprüngliches Datum für den Release war der 30. April, doch nun wurde das Spiel um 3 Wochen nach hinten verschoben "to add more polish" wie es ein Rockstarmitarbeiter gegenüber Kotaku ausdrückte.

"We at Rockstar have always prided ourselves on the uncompromising quality of our games – and will always opt to take a bit longer to polish and fine-tune a game to be as perfect as possible when we think it necessary.

With Red Dead Redemption, we felt that these extra few weeks will make a big difference in helping us deliver you an experience beyond your expectations.

We shifted the launch of the game by several weeks into the third quarter. We believe this is the optimal time frame to release what is being hailed as the next generation of sandbox games."

Das Spiel erscheint nun am 18. Mai in den USA und am 21. Mai in Europa.
