Die “Red Faction”-Spiele waren destuktive und spaßige Titel, die trotz dem einen oder anderen Fehlerchen große Fan-Gemeinden begeistern konnten. (Es hilft eben immer, wenn man wirklich alles zerstören kann.) Nach dem Ende von THQ wurde es dann still um die Marke. Der neue Besitzer der IP Nordic Games hat sich nun gemeldet und verraten, dass ein Nachfolger sicher im Bereich des Machbaren liege. Allerdings habe man nach einem Versuch vor einigen Monaten erkannt, dass man im Moment nicht das Team für so ein Projekt habe und dass die Zeit für einen Nachfolger noch nicht reif sei. Wir sind zumindest traurig…

A couple of months ago we had a team ready to start on Red Faction: Guerrilla 2. It’s still something that’s in the works. We want to do it, we think it’s really good, but it’s not the right time. Obviously you need the right people and if one of the key people can’t join at the start then you need to postpone the start.
